Authors and Consultants

Karin Zastrow developed Direct Leadership^TM, her own concept for making management skills and leadership attitude come together. In 2002. During the past 6 years she has trained app. 2000 persons in one or both of these concepts.

 

During the 6 years before the launch of ZASTROW & Co. she was Head of Human Resource Development at Chr. Hansen A/S. As head of the company's global training activities she introduced The Human Element® to both leaders and employees in Denmark and abroad. Subsequently as owner of Zastrow & Co. she developed and began to market the Direct Leadership^TM concept, which has distributors across Scandinavia as well as in Japan, Mexico and China.

 

She has worked as a consultant and has led the Global Training & Development function of Danish owned multinational Chr. Hansen - one of the world's leading producers of natural food ingredients. For the past 12 years Karin has worked out of ZASTROW, her own company, offering not only training certification and materials in relation to Direct Leadership^TM, but also marketing two other training concepts limited to the Danish.

Focus

Karin Zastrow has spent her 30-year career on leadership and organisation development. Her career covers over 20 years of experience with all aspects of education and HR development: training manager, management consultant , free-lance trainer, business college manager.

Currently Karin Zastrow is working on the 3rd edition of the book, Direct Leadership^TM published in 2000 after second edition published
2013.

Education

After having completed a language study, Karin Zastrow took an MBA from INSEAD in 1983. In 1999 she was certifi ed as a Licensed Human Element® Practitioner (LHEP^TM) Besides her native language Danish, Karin Zastrow is fluent in English, German, French and Swedish.

Publications

Ms Karin Zastrow is the author of the book, Direct Leadership^TM published in 2000; The 2nd edition of Karin Zastrow's book about the DIRECT LEADERSHIP^TM model is now on the street. Particularly noticeable in this edition are the short videoclips that accompany every chapter thus making this publication a multi-media experience to read.

Industry Affiliations

Karin Zastrow is member of the faculty of IFL (Institute for Leadership) at the Stockholm School of Economics as well as of NIMI (Nordic International Management Institute) in Chengdu, China.
